Scofield Graduate School of Theology   &  Theological Seminary  is an accredited distance learning seminary offering Associate through Doctoral degrees.  S.G.S.T.S. has the following majors at the Associate through Doctoral level: Ministry, Theology, Biblical Studies, Christian Education, Apologetics, Creation Apologetics (e.g., Creation Science) and Christian Counseling. 

Our Mission

The desire of S.G.S.S. is to provide quality distance learning programs to students around the world.  Our vision was born out of a desire to equip God's people who simple do not have thousands of dollars to attend a traditional resident college or seminary.  We also believe that God has ordained the local church for Christian education therefore Scofield is a ministry of a local Southern Baptist church.  For distance learning students we strongly advise that that they work within the confines of their local church, as they study and serve in a intern position under a local pastor.  This we believe is the Biblical model. 

SCOFIELD offers resident class in Modesto, CA on Tuesday nights (at Living Well Church [formerly Mable Ave Church]) and on Wednesday nights (at Shelter Cove Community Church).  

Profile

Scofield Seminary was started back in 1998 as a free online course provider.  Since then we have grown into an accredited degree granting  institution still offering free online courses and free certificate programs to many around the world.  S.G.S.T.S. has approximately 300 students in our degree and non-degree programs.  We specialize in offering free courses as well as thousand of free texts books (in PDF) and online resources.  We have been blessed by the Lord to have the opportunity to equip pastors in third-world countries who do not have a dime to spend on education.  For this reason we count on our American students to help us to continue to offer FREE programs to all third world pastors and laymen.  Scofield Seminary sits on 3 acres of property in Modesto, CA.
